Automotive catalogs · Source-research pilot

Product source research for your catalog team.

We investigate one product’s identity, agreed specifications and vehicle applications, then return the sources, qualifiers and unresolved questions for your team’s review.

You do not need to reconcile the sources or build an identity map first. Start with one SKU or public product URL; we agree the fields, finish criteria and delivery date before work begins.

Research is performed with AI tools. Your team retains final product-release and vehicle-specific decisions.

What you receive

A spreadsheet-compatible table and source notes, organized so your reviewer can see what supports each assertion and what still needs a decision.

01 / IDENTITY

A source-linked master record

Product and supplier identifiers, the agreed researched fields, and the source and location for each assertion. Replacement-device facts remain distinct from OEM references; ambiguous matches remain proposals.

02 / APPLICATIONS

Normalized vehicle claims

Up to 20 individual year/make/model rows per record, with source locations and material qualifiers preserved. Source agreement does not establish physical compatibility with a particular vehicle.

03 / EXCEPTIONS

Conflicts with a next question

Missing fields, competing claims and unresolved identity questions stay visible. Conflicts retain both sources and the specific clarification needed, with the disposition agreed for the record.

The bound: one identifiable product/configuration, an identity block, up to 20 application rows and an exception sheet. Larger products, added fields or different requirements are separately scoped before any commitment; there is no automatic extra charge.

When this research may be useful

There is a source decision to prepare

The work fits a catalog team comparing product identifiers, checking how an application claim is qualified, or investigating disagreement between manufacturer sources. We prepare the research; your team decides whether it supports release or needs escalation.

Your existing lookup may already be enough

If an authoritative supplier record already answers the question and your team can check it quickly, this service may add little. The first record lets you judge usefulness against your own lookup, explanation and review effort before commissioning more.

Review remains part of the work: your team checks the agreed identity, required fields, source support and exception dispositions. We do not promise a number of hours saved or a complete, ready-to-publish listing.

Agree the finish.
Review before paying.

These terms apply to this source-research pilot. Scope and timing are confirmed before you commit, and silence never creates a payment obligation.

  1. Agree the scope before work

We propose the product/configuration, required fields, sources, output format, permitted unresolved fields and delivery date. You approve or trim that scope. We handle the agreed research and clarification with authorized sources; manufacturer response times cannot be promised.

  2. Deliver against the agreed criteria

A record is complete when its identity and required fields meet the agreed source and finish criteria, the output opens in the agreed format, and material conflicts have the agreed disposition. An unexpected unresolved required field is incomplete work.

  3. Take five business days to review

After delivery, you have five business days to explicitly accept the record or identify defects against those criteria. Your review decides whether the agreed research outcome has been delivered.

  4. One correction round is included

We return corrections within five business days of receiving your defect list. You then have five business days to review the correction. A newer webpage alone does not automatically overrule an older official guide.

  5. Choose what happens to an unresolved field

If a required field remains unresolved afterward, you may explicitly accept the documented hold at the full milestone fee, or decline that milestone with no fee and no obligation. We do not silently treat incomplete research as a successful delivery.

  6. Pay only after explicit acceptance

We request US$50 after acceptance of the first record. Only if you commission the next four do we request US$200 after acceptance of those four. There is no obligation to order the additional records.

An unaccepted milestone closes unpaid after the applicable review/correction window. Later new work requires a new agreement. Additional products, changed requirements and source updates are separately scoped.

Research with clear boundaries

Your catalog team retains final release and vehicle-specific decisions. Research is performed with AI tools; human automotive specialist review is not included.

If the required result needs specialist review or licensed data, we identify that before accepting the scope. Any added scope and price must be agreed first.
